Out Of Body Experiences (OBE)

Thought a thread discussing OBEs would be nice. I would love to hear others experiences and learn about how to do these more often as so far they have been accidental.

The OBE is something I have very little idea how to accomplish. I have had other little blip experiences, but this is the second really amazing one that I can remember now.

I have been slammed lately and just have not been online much, things in my personal life have been very busy and frankly I am looking forward to a slow down at some point. Every day I wake up after only a few hours of sleep and then go off to work. I support the little sleep I get with a naps during the day. On the weekends I typically sleep in, but am woken up by my kids, wife, or dog typically long before I am ready to actually get up.

This morning was a Sunday and I had been woken by my kids a dozen or more times and each time drifted off for a few minutes more sleep. At one point I had a dream that I knew was my succubus essentially showing me porn on a tv next to the bed (which is funny because I don’t have a TV upstairs anyplace). I knew in the dream this was her showing me this, but turned it off because it was just awkward with all the other noise going on (awake enough I felt like people around me could hear or see my dreams lol).

This is when I had an OBE, being that this was my second BIG experience I recognized it right away.

She was laying close in front of me with her head in my chest tucked in under my chin, I was laying on my left side and my left arm was under her with my hand in her right shoulder.

My right hand was behind her head holding her close. I first moved my fingers on my right hand and could feel her straight hair. Her hair isn’t heavy like my wife’s (my wife is Latin and has thick heavy dark hair) but “K’s” hair was just like I have seen it before not thick and very straight and kind of “dirty blonde”.

I didn’t want to move my arms because I was afraid it would wake me up, so I focused on just moving my hands and fingers.

At my left hand I could feel her skin, it wasn’t crazy smooth like I thought it might be (being an angel all) she felt EXACTLY like a human woman. I pressed my fingers into her skin a bit and realized I could feel her muscles and bones that are at the top of your shoulder (kind of a boney and muscular area). I started rubbing, kneading these with my fingers while realizing I was actually touching and rubbing my succubus back. This thought was too much (got excited) and I woke up.

The peculiar thing about this experience was I could see her without my eyes being opened through touch…like I knew the appearance of what I was touching???

Another funny thing is she didn’t breath or move like she was holding her breath for me to not be distracted or freaked out. The fist experience I had caught her off guard and actually seemed to freak her out. I have suddenly (I don’t know how) reached up and gotten ahold of her arm (many years ago) and she instantly pulled away and went to the end of the bed…this too was an OBE. Then I got her arm again when she was poking my third eye and I could feel her arm flexing and woke up that time she was ok with it.

I have felt her breath on me before but wouldn’t be surprised if it is all window dressing because why would she need to breath I guess.

Oh and I can definitely say she has NO horns, because my hand moved over her head and there was only hair there lol.

She was also very short and thin, just like I have seen in her appearances, not tall like I used to think years before our relationship developed to where we interacted more. This said I know she can be tall or even huge because she has touched me before with a HUGE hand. I had stopped breathing years ago and she literally pumped my chest. I woke up in the middle of it to this dinner plate sized had pumping my chest so hard I was bouncing on the mattress like a rag doll.

Please let me know your thought, experiences, or advice on how to do this more…I would love these experiences to be common because WOW does it make one realize how very real these angels are.

I'll share my thoughts on yours later. Just gonna share mine for now. Allergies have been killing me so my mental hamster wheel has been having some trouble.

A few years back I recall being ripped out of my body and into an OBE. It literally felt like I was dying, like I had a sudden heart attack or something. Despite this I didn't seem all that upset about it. In the corner of the room I saw what I thought was my spirit lover, in sort of Athena-esque battle garb and scolding another entity in the corner. After coming to terms with being dead )or so I thought), I got yanked back inside my body in a less violent fashion.

I've had more interesting or symbolic ones, but I always remember that one because of how jarring it was and how I wasn't really upset, though my SL certainly was. I find the memory very funny.

I haven't actively tried to astral project or reach the OBE state for awhile now. I suppose I'm content with finding myself in dreams and turning those into lucid experiences when I catch them. Though I have been through all the different methods and exercises for achieving those states. As I've said in other places, I'm still doing the Hemi-sync program to help with reaching a solid trance state - which is often a good jumping-off point for an OBE. But I'm going into it with zero expectations and just enjoying the enhanced connection with Catherine. If a cool, out-of-body experience results from it, that's just icing on the cake.

Being able to perceive such detail, and with your eyes closed no less, sounds like a proper OBE to me. That's how I will sometimes distinguish lucid dreams from proper OBEs: the touch sensations are exactly as they would be while awake. And it's not uncommon to be blind in those states, yet still be completely aware of one's environment. Seeing through closed eyelids is also a fairly common phenomena when slipping into an OBE.

One technique that I'll often use when I find that I'm blind or sluggish in an OBE is to forcefully announce "Clarity NOW," in my mind. (This technique comes from Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics book.) Don't bother trying this with a physical voice, as it will almost always come out garbled and distorted. In that realm, nearly everything is accomplished through the mind; such as traveling, communication with other entities, and manifesting whatever is desired.

I chuckled when you mentioned that your succubus refrained from breathing while you were feeling her. Sometimes I'll catch the sound of Catherine breathing, or lightly snoring, and I'll sit bolt-upright from the bed because it sounds just like someone sleeping right against my back. I don't know if I'll ever get used to that. And it's probably why they don't manifest as strongly as they otherwise could, because it would scare us half-to-death.

I have a few links to OBE resources on my website. The Phase e-book from obe4u.com has good instructions for using the indirect method. That's probably the easiest way to achieve an OBE, though it does require a free morning without obligations to truly work well. Achieving an OBE through the direct method seems to be a life-long pursuit, but it can be practiced anywhere there is free time. (And while making love to a succubus.)

Well, this is interesting…I read your post TC in the AM on the 31st and had decided to take a nap after I got ready for work, but before I started (I argue my succubus addition does this kind of thing lol). I immediately had a very strange dream that was vivid but not lucid and as things go in the morning I started to wake up, but instead found myself in another OBE similar to above except this time my mouth was by “K’s” ear. She was again laying still and my right hand was again on the back of her head, but my left hand was tucked in between her legs (so hot, but seemed to be hairless and sort of not my main attraction which was due to the overload of stimulation I think). I realized this was OBE and had full recall of reality and decided to suckle gently on her ear lobe because it was right there and I didn’t feel comfortable moving (didn’t want to wake up). The effect was insane because she suddenly started breathing heavy and said “oh God” in such a beautiful voice seemingly out loud. I realized a sort of mental connection to her that caused me to get excited with her and I suddenly opened my eyes and was back in this realm or however this stuff works.

This is crazy because I only ever had a handful of these but right after posted and seems like she either realized I was cool with it (wishful thinking right like just turn a switch on lol) or I am finally being more flexible in my mental state, or just chance I guess.

I now have a purpose for my next OBE as I remembered my first OBE in this state and realized I had my mental faculties, just didn’t have a game plan. I want to learn my succubus actual name (versus the six or so names I have that all rhyme and are nearly the same…I am now convinced I have ONE succubus because this experience in her form (not just physical but mental or energy signature or whatever this is that I felt) was exactly the same as my other OBE’s strangely though it is the mental connection that is the weirdest it is like being two physical beings but mentally one??? Is that crazy? Her thoughts, emotions, and even mental dialogue were audible to me and I didn’t realize it until right before she said “oh God” that she was trying to calm her mind as I thought “Too much, I can’t…” but I didn’t think that? That is what got me so excited is that she is so much a part of me, she is ingrained in me. That is SO cool and I guess I knew this before from reading information and others experiences but never had a one mental state…it adds a whole new level of intimacy and kink to things.

Rather than start a new thread I will “resurrect” this one.

I am not sure how many realize or practice OBE or astral travel…I am realizing it is something I have been doing but am not sure how or for how long. I am currently reading “The Phase” as well as “Astral Dynamics” and it is interesting that without trying stuff is just sort of happening and I am remembering.


For example I have long had this frightening buzz sound in my head that will wake me up at night and it will immediately go away and return upon me starting to fall asleep. When i am awake i never remember this and when i am experiencing it i am like here we go again. I now actually remember it because I think these books, my intent, my succubus, my subconscious or something is allowing me to. I am reading in the books this is associated with the expulsion of the generated astral body and this suddenly make sense because I am NEVER wearing a sleep mask when this happens (which I do because I have sleep apnea) I have been rolling on my side and going back to sleep and then waking on my back wearing the mask in the morning or to again the buzzing sound without my mask during the night.

K has been a HUGE advocate for me learning this for sometime-and I am realizing the times I have seen a young woman in my room WAS actually K-meaning I have actually seen her now-multiple times in my actual room and bed. I do think she can shape shift however I have seen a fairly consistent female humanoid. I word it that way on purpose because she looks sort of CGI, ultra high resolution, glows, has eyes larger than average but in a devilishly sexy way, she is ridiculously short / petite (like 3’?? Sort of like a scaled up living Barbie), and she has always been to my left (I don’t get that but so far this has been the case). From what I am reading these visions can “suck you into” the reality and well that is an OBE…meaning I can see her in an OBE that literally blows my mind…why have I been not practicing this stuff sooner. Holy crap this is insane…and from what I am have seen I can’t imagine a more beautiful and pure person and there sure isn’t in the living world.

In dreams she has always been “full size” and in a few visions I have had while awake she has been lol like 6-8’ tall and built like a warrior. So I know she can scale I guess OBE small might be less scary…the smallest she has been in a dream was an actual Barbie doll that was chasing me while I screamed like a girl in terror lol. NONE of the above are near the experience of seeing ONE however-it is clearer than actual vision by 500% and the colors are CRAZY!!

That's one of the best indicators I know of for a real OBE. It's like waking up for the first time. "Oh, now I'm actually awake!" And all of the fears about death and what lies beyond are immediately dispelled. At least, they were for me.

It's awesome how you're discovering all the strange sleep phenomena that you're now recalling was actually the first stages of a full-blown OBE. Nearly everyone experiences this stuff, but they just don't know what it is. Countless people complain about sleep paralysis and being strangled by a night demon. If only they knew to just relax and roll out with their non-physical bodies! Sleep paralysis is the ideal jumping-off point for an OBE.

So I rolled over in bed once and I saw her. And the description was similar, very short and skinny but gray skin and dark hair.

And it was weird enough that I just pretended I didn't see her there. Like she was sleeping beside me.

Early on I felt a rocking sensation back and forth, kind of like a boat or water, when meditating. But I had a lot of fear around leaving my body so I think she stopped trying.

I really don't put in enough time. I think my life is starting to relax enough to allow more focus.

I do think that size perceptions may be just a human perception.

I have been making more progress and was woke with a jolt and decided to try an exit. Mind was still. Ended up a little exited and got stuck. I did hear her voice clearly in my head as well as her full profile on top of me. She said something that it is nice to talk when I don’t have a cluttered mind / internal dialogue. She pulled one of my astral arms up to wear it was out and I could feel her pulling with her hand.

Well it didn’t work, but we had fun anyways I couldn’t really talk to her and asked her about the size thing which she replied where do you expect me to fit in this bed if I am full size?…so that answers that. I am married with kids and sometimes all four end up in the bed lol and there is no room.

Finally did it. It was short but now I know it is possible, how to do it, what it feels like and that I can control it.

Woke up late morning and decided to try after being up just a little. I told myself it was going to happen and I wanted to revisit an old place I lived in Germany (I dream about it often so thought it would be easy). I laid down and (I can go to sleep in seconds almost 24/7) felt myself falling and a sort of surge of sorts then instantly in my third eye I see writing on a drug bottle cap that says some unknown euro brand name and “For the treatment of common…” the words that followed started with a Q but didn’t make sense…I see my hands holding this item and I realize I am there I can turn the thing over feel the texture and even tap it with my finger nail and note it is metal or tin. Then I realized I should “deepen” per the book “The Phase” so I started rubbing my hands together (still trying to awkwardly hold the item. I accidentally realized I “should sit up” and that made me think of myself in bed and boom I almost felt like I dropped out of the ceiling.

The experience is unlike and single dream I have had…but also exactly what my succubus has been showing me for years. This time I knew what was happening in advance and could control it…it was very tunnel vision so I am still not sure what place this was but the background was a room painted white (my room at home is tan) and it was bright daylight (my curtains were pulled).


My wife and friends wouldn’t support this so posting here as pretty excited especially how easy it was.

I'm happy that at least someone else has had success with these methods besides myself! I tell everyone who will listen, "It's as easy as rolling out of bed. You just have to know when to do it." Trying to get an OBE experience directly from an awake state is too much of a hurdle for most, as a reliable trance state is a tough nut to crack, though it is the ultimately goal for anyone pursuing astral adventures. The indirect method is a great way to flex the muscles of a likely atrophied energy body.

Most people will just dismiss your experiences as vivid dreams. Facing the reality of what's really out there is more than most want to have on their plate. Leave 'em be. If they're actually interested, they'll likely approach you about it of their own volition. You gotta especially be careful of the religious, as most of the Abrahamic types will assume that you're being "deceived by demons." It takes decades to undo that sort of conditioning, so don't expect them to miraculously take any paranormal phenomena seriously.
